I am involved with the creation of Malaspina Land Conservancy Society, which is a locally based land trust serving the Powell River region and upper Sunshine Coast. We have a very broad purpose to appeal to the majority of property owners, and will work with private land owners to help them protect their land. We are interested in areas of natural beauty, areas with species at risk, land that is of recreational value, land that is to be preserved for affordable housing, and land that is of historical, scientific and cultural significance.
